Meditation Practice

Monthly Meditation Practice

A space to pause, settle, and become more familiar and at ease with your own mind and body.

Through sitting and walking meditation and brief contemplations, we explore how to cultivate kindness towards ourselves and act gently and skilfully in connection with others in our communities.

No experience or particular background is needed. Simply being genuinely curious about life, seeking clarity and a way through the difficulties we face is enough. Meditation practice is open to everyone and a great method to support us on our own path in life and building a kind community with those around us.

What we will do:

  • Simply Sitting Meditation
  • Walking Meditation
  • Contemplation
  • Towards the end there is a space to relax and have informal conversations.

This activity is led by Karma Ösung Gyaltsen, novice monk in the
Karma Kagyü tradition. He is a member of the worldwide Nalandabodhi community under the guidance of his teacher Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Just as the early monastics of the Buddhist tradition, he often travels to serve the community and stresses the universal character of the teachings on wisdom and compassion by the Buddha from which we can all draw inspiration on our own spiritual paths.
