East London Canal Access Network (ELCAN) CIC was set up a couple of years ago. Their focus is on improving access to East London’s waterways, removing barriers to paddlesports as well as tackling plastic pollution and removing invasive species.
They run a monthly litter picking event alongside our own Saturday market. This is usually held on the second Saturday of each month and welcomes new volunteers! There are also a number of one off events, including open days and taster sessions which offer friendly and relaxed opportunities to try out something new!
Spaces are usually limited and need to be booked in advance so keep an eye on their socials for more information.
Corporate groups may be interested in their CSR days, which are run as half or full day events.
If you have any questions about ELCAN CIC and their programme, get in touch!
