Games Design Workshop

Mariza Dima is an Associate Professor in Games Design at Brunel University of London, Director of the Brunel Games Research Lab and she researchers applied/serious games and interactive storytelling. Equipped with abundant curiosity and an interdisciplinary background in applied mathematics, Human-Computer Interaction design (HCI), and media and games studies, she explores how to create meaningful, engaging, seamless experiences with games and digital technologies in different contexts such as cultural heritage, health, and education. She recently spend four months in South Korea making a game with and about the Haenyeo Korean women free divers that celebrates their culture and highlights intergenerational challenges and the reality of being a Haenyeo today. She loves teaching, making and playing games.
