Kids Drama Club

Would you love to see your child shine in a Christmas show? Enroll them in our exciting 12-week Drama Club with actor and facilitator Iwona Marciniak, alongside guest industry professionals! Your child will develop essential performing skills, culminating in a live performance on the stage of Poplar Union. Give them the chance to build confidence, creativity, and have fun this festive season!

About Iwona
Iwona is an actor, musician, and facilitator originally from Poland. She trained as an actor and classical musician, with the violin being her first instrument. Therefore, her teaching work is hugely based on movement and musicality.

She is passionate about diversity in the arts. She believes every voice is equally important and should be represented across the industry.

Iwona previously worked in the Berlin-based theatre Ensemble and is currently a resident artist at The Polish Theatre POSK in London. It is essential for her that her student take pride in their roots and heritage and that their voices are heard.

First guest practitioner Inês Drumond will be leading the session on musicality on the 16th of October.

Inês Drumond is a multidisciplinary actor and practitioner that was born and raised in Porto, Portugal. With a physical background in dance and gymnastics they incorporate musicality and movement into most things they create or as a great pathway to get into different characters. In their free time, Inês likes to play around with some creative song-writing.

Second guest practitioner Heather Parsons will be joining on 20th November to polish our show.

Heather Parsons is an actress, comedian, writer and director. She recently performed her own one woman show “Deadball” as part of Camden Fringe for the Hen & Chickens Theatre, following on from it’s success at Wandsworth Fringe Festival. Heather has previously directed “Taming of the Shrew” at the Crescent Theatre “Project Chuckle” for the White Bear Theatre and is in the process of rewriting her own piece of work “Monsters in Dresses” which she hopes to put on in the near future.
