Childrens Creative Workshops: Solstice Bouquet Card

Join ARTscape for a nature-inspired bouquet card workshop celebrating the Summer Solstice. Children will use the outdoor space to gather colourful flowers and natural materials, then create their own 3D bouquet cards by arranging and securing them onto card.

This workshop explores colour and texture while introducing the Summer Solstice (Litha) as a time of light, growth and connection to nature. It supports creativity, outdoor exploration and hands-on making in a fun and engaging environment.

All materials are provided and no experience is necessary.
Parental/carer supervision is required throughout.

What to Expect:

• Outdoor flower gathering (where appropriate)
• Guided bouquet card-making activity
• Exploration of natural materials, colour, and texture
• Introduction to the Summer Solstice and seasonal themes
• A supportive and inclusive creative space
• A handmade bouquet card to take home

Important Information:

Do parents need to stay?
Yes. This is a supervised workshop and children must be accompanied at all times.

Will outdoor space be used?
Yes. Part of this workshop may take place outdoors to collect natural materials. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

Are there small parts involved?
Natural materials and small craft items may be used and require supervision.

Will tools be used?
Basic tools (e.g. scissors, shears) will be used under supervision. Parents/carers are responsible for assisting their child where needed.

Is this suitable for all children aged 5–11?
Suitability depends on the child. Parents/carers should consider their child’s comfort with outdoor activity and handling natural materials.

If you do not wish for your child to be photographed or filmed, please inform a member of the team on arrival. We will ensure your preferences are respected.
