It’s that time again when good vibes and pure positivity is pending. It has been almost one year since the last Poplar Poetry Evening and something is brewing. Back again on October 23rd 2026 Poplar Poetry Evening presents ‘Your Stage…Your Show’ Open Mic Celebration. Come experience the niceness of this poetry evening, the coming together of different creative ideas, the food…oh the food, and the unforgettable offerings of creative expressions. All are welcomed and all will be taken very good care of. Entry is free! Come and take ‘the stage’ and make it your show.

Honouring Our Communities is a Black History Month 2026 programme rooted in arts, culture, and heritage, created for and with the residents of Tower Hamlets. Taking place throughout October, the project will feature exhibitions, wellness activities, conversations, and performances designed to celebrate Black creativity and honour Black history, culture, and talent.
