This Black Histry Month, we’ll be screening the classic, Coach Carter, starring Samuel L Jackson.

What’s it about?

Based on actual events, this powerful drama stars Samuel L. Jackson as California high school basketball coach Ken Carter. Accepting the job on an unpaid, volunteer basis, Carter holds his players to a high academic standard, going so far as to bench his entire team, despite their undefeated status, until they pull their grades up. Ashanti, Rick Gonzales, Rob Brown, Debbi Morgan co-star.
