Grand Union Re:Generation Band presents: On the Trail of the Bengal Tiger

Grand Union’s Re:Generation Band of emerging young professionals celebrates the contemporary influence of Bangladeshi music and musicians on East London.
What to expect
On the Trail of the Bengal Tiger traces the postwar migration of Bangladeshis to East London, its causes – a bloody Civil War following the partition of India – and its cultural legacy. Bengali songs, bhangra and classic ragas combine with African rhythms, reggae and jazz improvisation to portray the dazzling musical diversity of the East End today.
