After the success of Pierre’s last family course, he’s back with another 8-week photography course for local families!

What to expect

This Family Photography Course is an inclusive photography project to enable parents and their children with little or no experience of photography to start their own artistic practice while building their confidence.

Using your own cameras (this includes a smart phone camera), this project aims to introduce children to the art of photography. Each session will start with an introduction to the photo adventure of the week, and a review of the previous weeks’ photos allowing each child to talk about their experiences. The sessions will be designed to incrementally build skills and confidence for both child and adult whilst having fun.

At the end of the 8-week course, we will publish a photo-zine and have an exhibition at Poplar Union (included in the ticket price).

To book the 8-week course, please select Thursday 16 February and this will give you access to the whole course. One ticket admits 1x child and 1x adult. Advance booking is essential and places are limited. Please note, an adult must attend this course with their child(ren).
