Exploring Photography: Women Only Class with Sylvie Belbouab
Join this women-only photography course facilitated by local artist, Sylvie Belbouab, to develop photography skills in a safe and relaxed environment.
What to expect
During the 6 sessions, you will look at different photography techniques that will help you capture your everyday life and document various situations with a particular focus on reflecting on identity. Each week you will look at different female photographers and learn from their experience and work. Throughout the sessions, the group will develop a body of work that will be exhibited at Poplar Union as part of our International Women’s Day festival, Women in Focus in March.
All abilities welcome. This course for those who identify as female.
Alongside this women-only course, we are running a men-only course facilitated by local photographer, Pierre Bureau. Find out more here.
There will be a joint workshop bringing together participants from both groups to discuss each others work. This will be held at Poplar Union on Wednesday 16 March at 10am.
