”The world is beautiful and verdant, and verily God, the exalted, has made you His stewards in it, and He sees how you acquit yourselves” (Saheeh Muslim).

The blessed month of Ramadan, is a time of sacrifice, deep reflection and deepening our connection to our faith and spirtuality. It is also a time of community with prayer and sharing of meals playing an important role throughout the month. At the same time we often witness an increase in the use of disposable plastics, food wastage and a doubling of meat in our diet. These habits are not only contributing to the environmental crisis but also contradict our role as stewards of the Earth, having a detrimental impact on our spirituality.

This year as we invite you to join us for our annual communal Iftar, ‘breaking of the fast’, with inspiring talks and practical advice on ways you can reduce your meat consumption, food waste and plastic use throughout the month of Ramadan

Agenda:

Enjoy a vegetarian meal, served with the communal evening prayer.

Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and celebrate the spirit of Ramadan in a mindful way. We look forward to seeing you there!
