What to expect
This will be a relaxed and informal evening for local people who are working either professionally or non-professionally within the arts and creative industries. It’s a chance to meet, share knowledge, build relationships and showcase your work, alongside guest speakers who will share their knowledge, experience and knowhow on a range of relevant topics from a cross section of the arts industry.

Artistic Director and Co-Founder of Zoo Co., Flo O’Mahony, talks about how and why she started up her own theatre company and why not going to uni can be a great thing.
Sangeeta Pillai: Jumping Without a Parachute
After an 18-year career of safe, full-time jobs; Sangeeta Pillai has jumped into the world of freelancing. And what’s more, she wants to earn her living talking about sex. Sangeeta is the creator & writer of MASALA MONOLOGUES™, the spicier British Asian Vagina Monologues. She runs workshops and meet-up groups to explore themes of British Asian female sexuality. She’s also a digital copywriter & content creator.
Dan Simpson: People Need People: Solo Practitioners in Creative Partnerships
Dan Simpson is a poet, performer, and producer. He makes highly engaging and contemporary work that is popular, smart, and funny – with subjects including science and technology; history and place; pop and nerd culture; people and poetry. Dan performs around the UK, including previous appearances at Glastonbury Festival, Roundhouse Camden, and on BBC Radio.
Erin Siobhan Hutching: Making the Arts More Accessible
Erin Siobhan Hutching is an actor, producer and writer based in London. She is a Lead Artist and Creative Producer for The DH Ensemble, a theatre company which makes work with D/deaf and hearing artists for D/deaf and hearing audiences. Erin’s autobiographical play People of the Eye about her family’s experiences of deafness was the company’s first full production which was performed across the UK at venues including Battersea Arts Centre, Northern Stage at Summerhall, The Yard Theatre and Nottingham Playhouse.
