Collective IDentity (CID Project), a programme by Danielle Teale Dance, brings expressive, moving and creative dance opportunities to people with Parkinson’s this autumn. Taking place both online and in-person, this multidimensional dance, music, film and visual arts programme explores togetherness and empathy and enables dancers to explore self compassion, care, identity and collectivity.

What to expect

The workshops at Poplar Union will be a person-centred movement experience drawing on the collaborative enquiry of dancers with Parkinson’s across the country in 2021. Expect to laugh together, move together, talk and share together. No previous experience of dance is necessary, just the willingness to join in with other like-minded individuals.

Who these workshops are for

The workshops are for people with Parkinson’s of all ages and at all stages of Parkinson’s. It is a fully inclusive community programme. Family members and carers are welcome to attend alongside their loved ones, however, it is not compulsory to attend with a carer. No previous experience of dance is necessary to join.

Please wear something you are comfortable to move in. Refreshments will be provided.
