Art Class
Welcome to Poplar Union’s art class- a friendly and inclusive class suitable for people of all ages, abilities and experience!
What to expect
The class is in its sixth year, and as always, we welcome anyone regardless of the level of experience. If art is a distant memory from school or you have your individual practice, this class allows you to experiment and discover new avenues to your creativity. Come to talk to our tutor (Poplar Union’s Creative Director, Paolo Fiorentini) if you have any questions or wish to plan or customise your tuition. Each student is encouraged to take individual decisions to expand their opportunities and growing artistically more confident.
Some of the skills you will discover are painting techniques (acrylic, watercolour, oil), drawing and sketching (graphite, charcoal, colour pencil), collage, stencilling, as well as learning about a variety of different supports (paper, canvas, textile). The class will dedicate particular attention to recycling materials, affordable and sustainable alternatives.
This class is open to anyone and participants are welcome to attend for as much time as they choose- be it the full two hours, or as a creative break when working from home. All materials are provided though you’re welcome to bring your own.
If you have any questions about the class or booking, please get in touch – info@poplarunion.com / 020 3039 3333.
