Aponghor Bengali LGBTQIA+ Group

Founded by Sohel Ahmed, Aponghor offers a safe and welcoming environment for Bengali members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The group provides information and support for issues including mental, physical and sexual health and wellbeing, asylum seeking and immigration, families and housing. They also throw some brilliant parties, march yearly at London Pride and hold free monthly meet-ups on the first Monday of each month at 6pm at Poplar Union.

On Tuesday 7 December, Aponghor will have an extra special, festive touch with food and drink, music and dancing to get you in the Christmas spirit!
