Introducing our headliner for March…Marica. To say we are excited to have her headline is an understatement. A genuinely talented lady who effortlessly fuses spoken word, singing and music to create moments that are unforgettable. She will be accompanied by a previous headline, the sensational Kev on guitar. You are all in for a real treat.

Poplar Poetry Evening (PPE) is again teaming up with Crossword Lyric (CWL) for ‘Round 2’ a Evening of unforgettable entertainment and shared fun. However, that’s not all. This time round there is a special guest who we have the pleasure of introducing to you.

Breaking the usual approach we have headlining the charismatic and witty Odeboy! Some of you may know him as Phil but whichever name you refer to him as one thing is for sure and remains constant, his personality is infectious. Hailing from up north and always representing, you can expect variety from Odeboy when it comes to his poetry. From punk poetry, comedy verses and political rants you are sure to find something to relate to and laughter about.

As we welcome the summer months with open arms Poplar Poetry Evening is delighted to also welcome Windows To The Spirits. Brain child of The Metaphorest, Window To The Spirits offers a unique twist to the open mic space.

With hosts Lisa Ellis and Dennis serving up energetic vibes, your appetite will definitely be satisfied. DJ Swvrthy is sure to get you tapping your feet and bopping your heads throughout the night. Don’t be surprised if you end up dancing too because with DJ Swvrthy anything is possible.

If that wasn’t enough you will have poetic expressions from talented individuals who will grace the stage. It’s a community affair and we hope to see you there. Come and share or just be a part of this evening that’s going to be epic.
