Open Studio: Photography, Making & Stories at Poplar Union
Weekly open studio at Poplar Union exploring photography, collage, embroidery, illustration and oral history. Open to all.
Sessions take place every Wednesday from 4 March, 11am–1pm, at Poplar Union. If cost is a barrier, please email hello@mindfulphotolab.com for a free spot.
We’ll work with photography, collage, embroidery, illustration and oral history, responding to everyday stories, food, place and personal experience. Sessions will move between indoor making and gentle explorations of the local area — including the canal, nearby markets, streets and community gardens — using walking, looking and listening as part of the creative process.
Sessions are informal and process-led. You can join quietly, experiment with materials, share ideas, or simply spend time making alongside others. No experience is needed. Materials are provided, and you’re welcome to bring your own ideas or work in progress.
Important: Please book one session only — the first Wednesday you plan to attend. This helps us manage numbers and registers you for the ongoing sessions, so there’s no need to book multiple dates.
