Join SuperNova’s inclusive Brazilian Drumming workshops, at Poplar Union providing a welcoming space for all, regardless of age, background, or ability. We will explore the vibrant rhythms of West African music.

Two sessions each day:
12pm–1.30pm (Beginner session) –A welcoming space for families and younger participants to take part together.1.30pm–3pm (Intermediate session) – For young people (14+) and adults who want to take part independently and explore rhythms in a slightly more focused session.
Across the programme, participants will explore powerful rhythms including Samba Reggae, Samba Afro, liex, Maracatu, Samba Batucada and Funk, while learning about the culture and community behind the music.
We offer family sessions and adult sessions, so everyone is welcome to take part, learn something new, and experience the energy of Brazilian percussion.
