Taster session: Sweet Structures

Sunday, 25th May
2 pm–3.15 pm
£2 introductory price

Where children and parents will collaborate to design and build structures using sweets and toothpicks! Through this playful engineering challenge, young designers will explore fundamental concepts of structural stability, balance, and creative problem-solving while having fun. Children (Years 1–6) and their parents will work together to build towers, bridges and structures using sweets and toothpicks, exploring engineering principles through creative play.

Following the success of our family event Sweet Structures, we are back with two exciting new workshops.

Workshop 1: Mary Blair townscapes

Friday, 20th June
5 pm–6.30 pm
£16 per child

Young designers will explore architectural styles from around the world and take inspiration from Mary Blair’s iconic use of colour and pattern. They will create vibrant façades with decorative designs and stained-glass-style windows, which will come together as a collaborative, colourful townscape installation.
