Back with another exciting evening of creative outlet Poplar Poetry Evening (PPE) is loading for October. Join us for inspiring stories, captivating sounds and playful fun in a warming setting. Open mic sign up from 6.30pm and showtime is at 7pm. This monthʼs event is free. Bedroom Poetry is a rollercoaster of rhyming rants delivered by Becksy Becks, a Birmingham raised, South Sudanese poet reeling from the scam that is adulthood itself. Becksy Becks creates visuals with words and delivers her musings in a relatable conversational style, often navigating along the very thin line between humour and tragedy. To best describe Becksy Becks is to call her a Poet on Purpose, Break-Dancer by Daydream.
