Platinum Sounds Vocal Course with the London House Cats Choir

Do you love singing? Do you love dance music? Well here’s an opportunity for you to join the innovative London House Cats Choir (as seen on Strictly Come Dancing!) for an 8-week course.

What to expect

London House Cats Choir is a contemporary choir using House Music at its core. Each workshop will provide you with professional voice training to equip you with tools and techniques to help you sing the material and progress your vocal development. Using 3-part harmonies; Soprano, Alto & Tenor and blend this will help you sing these soulful and funky songs.

Sessions are suitable for those with some singing background whether it was back in the school days or through personal pursuits. You will find these sessions both fun and challenging.

This series of 8 workshops will end in a live gig at Poplar Union on Saturday 4 June in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Tower Hamlets. Find out more and how to book tickets for friends and family here.

Dates

Course:

Saturdays 2 April – 28 May (no session on 30 April)

1pm-3pm (16 & 23 April sessions will be 1pm-5pm)

These workshops will include:

· Industry standard vocal training including breath control and vocal coaching to strengthen the voice, dynamics and range

· Improvised 3-part harmonics as directed by the choir master.

· Live performance skills coaching

· Learning full House Music songs using 3 part harmonies: Performance Skills Coaching

· Solo Singing Practice (optional)

· Microphone Technique Practice (optional)

· By the end of the session you will be able to sing songs from our repertoire

(Please wear comfortable clothing and bring a bottle of drinking water).

Note, sessions on the 23 April & 14 May will take place in our smaller studio, Mike.
