Come and join us for an interactive meeting with exhibiting artist Yuliya V Krylova. Yuliya is a local resident who practices in multiple artistic mediums (performance, painting, costume/fashion design). Poplar Union cafe is currently showing some of her recent work, including wearable art and recycled textile paintings.

There will be talk, music and dance. Bring your favourite instrument for collective jam improvisation.

Yuliya V Krylova is a multi-disciplinary artist who creates through painting, performance, costume design and eco-fashion.

The current exhibition showcases some of the items from recent wearable art creations made from recycled materials with the use of sustainable methods of treating textiles. All the items are cut and designed in such a way that no length of textile is discarded. Yuliya’s patterns are simple and made for any body shape.

During the lockdown, Yuliya has started her wearable art brand “Yu”, and her recent collection will be shown during the“Wingmakers’ Garden” performance in September at the Jamboree (Jamboree Venue, 6 St Chads Place, London wc1x9hh).
