You, Me, the World & Poplar

Presented by take stock exchange & Poplar Union

Welcome to a special three part podcast series called You, Me, the World & Poplar. This is take stock exchange’s first ever podcast. They are a community storytelling company, which means that they try to build connections, empathy and empowerment using storytelling and conversation. Over the past few months, they’ve been listening to conversations all over Poplar; in Zoom rooms, on WhatsApp and over the phone – people have been talking; people have been sharing their stories.

These three podcasts feature a collection of stories about when they visited different groups of people who are connected to Poplar. They usually meet in person, visiting groups in community centres, schools, libraries… wherever they meet. But this time, at the time of this project that wasn’t possible, so they met them all remotely.

They’d like to thank the participants of the workshops, the organisers of each group we worked with, and the community of Poplar.

You can listen to the conversations below (including BLS and captioned videos) and join the conversation at takestockexchange.co.uk, where you can leave your comments, thoughts and feedback. They’d love to hear what you have to say!

Thank you very much for listening.
