EcoCrafts Workshop: Making Musical Instruments

In this workshop, young children and adults are invited to make instruments from recycled everyday materials. The instruments will be varied so every child can choose their favourite, they will be able to take them home, so a family can end up with a small orchestraThis child lead activity will involve collaborative thinking , participation and creativity. Children will be practising their small motor skills and spacial awareness to assemble the different parts of the instruments and decorate them. There is magic in creating musical instruments from scratch, from the making to when they play with their creations, make sound and maybe even compose something. A great way to learn about sustainability, the inter-relationship of environment and society, and the interdependence of ecological and human wellbeing.
