Anandadhara Arts presents ‘Hand in hand with Tagore’
Anandadhara Arts presents ‘Hand in hand with Tagore’- an unforgettable evening of music and poetry celebrating community and the great Bengali poet.
“Kalmrigaya” – Children of Anandadhara Arts will present an excerpt of this beautiful musical composed by Tagore. The drama is based on a melancholic short story from the epic Ramayana blended with the melody of western music. In this lyrical drama Tagore illustrated the sorrow of losing the child of a blind saint (andhomuni) and his generous mind of forgiving. “Kalmrigaya” represents the relationship and dependence between human beings and nature with the contemporary thoughts.
The programme will also feature –
“The Spring of Light” – a compilation of songs and poetry of spiritual thoughts performed by adult students of Anandadhara Arts. The essence, colours and the beauty of these songs and poetry will enrich our feelings and will give pervasiveness to our thoughts.
The final part of the programme will feature “The Soul- a musical expression Tagore” – improvising music along with Tagore songs. A mesmerising experience of melody and sublime songs performed by Dr Imtiaz Ahmed (vocal), Amit Dey (piano), Paul Burgess (violin), Milon Biswas (guitar) and Piyas Barua (tabla).
