Music Showcase

Sure, we have to stay in, but that doesn’t mean we can’t watch a live gig! Every Friday, join us on Instagram Live at 7.30pm for a live music showcase!

LIVE IN THE LOUNGE

Every first Friday of the month, an artist will take over our Instagram for a live showcase. So sign off, grab a drink and enjoy from the comfort of your own lounge!

FOLK ON MONDAY PRESENTS….

Every second Friday of the month, Folk On Monday will select an artist to perform live from their own homes. Expect beautiful vocals and impressive musicianship from some of the finest folk musicians on the scene.

PLAY FOR PROGRESS SHOWCASE

Every third Friday of the month, we’re excited to announce a new online programme with Play For Progress.

PFP delivers therapeutic and educational music and arts programmes, advocacy, and well-being support for traumatised and socially-isolated unaccompanied minor refugees. Through these monthly live streams, we’ll be showcasing musicians from their Allies in Arts programme, representing PFP and the extended community of musicians, artists, supporters, and invested individuals who all work hard to make this world a more playful, compassionate, and creative place.

The work of Play For Progess is even more vital at this difficult time. You can support the charity by donating here. All donations will go towards their ongoing work with young refugees.

OPEN MIC

Every last Friday of the month, we will be hosting a virtual Open Mic night through IGTV. If you want to take part, simply send us a video of a song or poem filmed in your home or garden, and we will compile all the submissions which will go out on our Instagram at 7.30pm sharp!

Express yourself with originals, covers, songs, stories, poems, jokes or sounds. Anything goes!

Please send your videos (no longer than 5 minutes in length) to info@poplarunion.com via WeTransfer with the subject ‘Virtual Open Mic Submission’ and a link to your Instagram.
