Textiles, Crafts & Upcycling

Give old garments and textiles a new lease of life in this hands-on arts & crafts workshop.
Bring along any unwanted clothing, fabric and materials and get creative with guidance from local textile artist, Maud Barrett.
Each week you will concentrate on a different product:
Sunday 21 January – Apron
For all those budding chefs out there, design and sew your own stylish apron. Use discarded clothing and materials to give your apron that special touch!
Sunday 25 February – Tote Bag
Learn how to make your very own tote bag! Give it a personalised touch by using beads, buttons, ribbon and fabric to create your unique design.
Sunday 25 March – Pencil Case / Makeup Case
Design, cut and sew a pencil or makeup case using unwanted fabrics. Decorate with different textiles like beads and buttons. A perfect gift for a loved one… or just keep it for yourself!
