Who run the world? Grrrrls! Grrrrls!
Who run the world? Grrrrls! Grrrrls!

As part of Poplar Union’s Women in Focus Festival, Sunday Assembly East End are celebrating International Women’s Day with a female-focused assembly that’s guaranteed to leave you feeling nourished with powerful words, inspiring stories and absolute banging tunes!

Guest speakers includes the wild spirit that is Jayne Goldheart – Qoya free movement teacher, founder of ‘Sisters of the Wild’ women’s weekend gatherings, and all round wise soul. Jayne will reveal to us how she has come to truly “embody courage” and has gained the ability to trust her heart over her head. Her deep-rooted desire that every woman should feel the best that she can is wonderfully contagious, as she helps women grow and realise their potential through the magical work that she does.

As if that’s not enough, the wonderful wordsmith Raven Brookes will be performing some of her poetry. Plus there will be their ever-enlightening ‘This Much I Know’ speaker, the bit where we hear from a member of our community.

…all that AND exciting community news, ways in which YOU can join in and help keep Sunday Assembly East End alive!

If you feel like dressing up, they would love to see feminist slogans, glitter, sequins, sparkles, Spice Girls t-shirts…etc… basically whatever you want to wear to celebrate International Women’s Day!

Refreshments will be available after the assembly, along with plenty of chat!

Please note, Sunday Assembly is run entirely on donations so there will be a collection bucket making it’s way round so bring some extra coins!
