Self-With-Others Ensemble Theatre Workshop with John Britton
Award winning UK physical theatre company, Babel Theatre, host world renowned teacher and director, John Britton, for a three-day introduction into his Ensemble Theatre practice ‘Self-With-Others’.
What to expect
The improvisation-based, ensemble training process was created by John Britton and used by performers across multiple performance disciplines around the world. Drawing on a number of fixed and semi-improvised training exercises, the workshop will take you into a profound encounter with your own needs, habits, blockages and unique strengths. The training emphasises liveness, spontaneity, daring and joy. The heart of the work is the pursuit of detailed pleasure in every moment of your work.
Some performance training/experience is preferred. Participants should be able and willing to work physically and in relationship with others. Suitable for performers from any discipline.
Please note, this is a three day course (9-11 April). When booking, just select the 9 April and this will include all three days in the ticket price.
