In the run up to Refugee Week, we will be screening Gianfranco Rosi’s 2016 film, Fire at Sea.

An unconventional film that seeks to capture life on the Italian island of Lampedusa, a frontline in the European Migrant Crisis. After winning the Golden Bear at the 2016 Berlin International Film Festival, Fire At Sea was Italy’s Foreign Language submission to the 2016 Oscars and was internationally lauded for its frank and committed representation of the ongoing migrant crisis.
