Mindfulness, Art & Movement:
Reconnect

Jane has cancelled the remainder of these sessions due to low take-up. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Reconnect is for those who have undertaken a taster session or Mindfulness, Art and Movement course to come and refresh and evolve their practice.
Mindfulness, Art and Movement offers a route map to creatively and therapeutically approach loss, sickness, injury, ageing and disability. The workshops are for any adult seeking to engage with pre-existing health conditions and life’s stressful situations to be better able to get up in the morning and live a rich and fulfilling life.
If interested, consult your health professional initially to discuss whether this class is suitable for you.
About the facilitators
Jane Belshaw and Raphael Adjani are two experienced teachers and practitioners drawing on over 30 years of practice in the creative arts, movement and meditation.
Their approach
Jane and Raphael’s approach to healing, wellbeing and recovery draws on the Japanese tradition of Kintsugi: broken pottery is repaired with lacquer mixed with powdered gold and the renewed object is considered to have its own beauty and richness. Kintsugi treats the fact that we ‘break’ as part of the weave of life rather than something to disguise. It encompasses acceptance of change as a nourishing aspect of human life. Our Kintsugi is the art of embracing “damage” and celebrating the “imperfect.”
