Gospel Days with Lyn Gerald

‘Gospel Days’ is a 6 week singing course facilitated by local singer, Lyn Gerald, to uplift our community by learning songs from the gospel tradition.

What to expect

As well as learning some gospel and spirituals, you will delve into vocal technique which will be demonstrated in an informal shared online setting. The history behind gospel music will be touched on so as to help participants gain a better understanding of the genre. The songs will have easy melodies which will allow people to learn them easily.

Gospel music has its roots in religion, but these sessions are open to people of all faiths and beliefs.

These sessions are aimed at all ages to make it more inclusive, and in so, giving families an opportunity to take part in something together.

This is a 6-week singing course but you can join any session for £2 per household. These sessions will take place via Zoom. You must book your place in advance. Once you have booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email. You will then be sent an email on the day of the event with the Zoom log in details and any other information you’ll need before the session.

For under 16 participants, we ask a parent/guardian to remain in the room for the duration of the activity to comply with our online safeguarding policy.
