An evening of new films from the ELAM class of 2020 and ELAM Alumni, featuring Q&A sessions, an industry session and creative masterclass.

What to expect

The ELAM film festival is an evening of new films from trainees at East London Arts and Music. ELAM was the brainchild of Chase and Status’ Will Kennard who wanted to find a way to help young creatives get the recognition, contacts and qualifications they needed to access to creative careers. ELAM opened in September 2014 and has since been rated outstanding by Ofsted. The film strand started in 2017 with the first cohort graduating last summer. Their bespoke vocational education programme exposes trainees to the whole range of skills they need across their chosen industry. Working closely with a wide range of Industry partners, including Universal Music, YouTube and Creative Assembly, trainees have a unique set of opportunities from weekly industry masterclasses to work experience.
