Dancing with Parkinson’s workshops

Join the Dancing with Parkinson’s Company for their bi-weekly dance workshops at Poplar Union.
What to expect
These dance sessions provide a creative, uplifting and supportive space for expression and connection with others. The programme is led by Danielle Teale, an internationally recognised leading specialist in dance and Parkinson’s practice and feature live music from a range of contributors. Each week, refreshments will be provided, giving you a chance to connect not only through dance but in social time together with like-minded participants. The company will also offer opportunities for creative projects and performances for those who are interested.
Testimonials from participants
“It’s like going to a party every week – you can just be yourself, nobody is judging you”
“Your body responds more positively when you are enjoying yourself. My body is responding more in dancing with Parkinson’s because I’m enjoying what I’m doing”
“People come here and feel safe… the dancing is physical but it also gives us a chance to speak, to have conversation, which is an added bonus of connection with others”
