It’s time to get crafty! Textile artist and craft tutor Maud Barrett will teach you how to turn different recycled materials into cool craft projects in these after-school workshops.
Always on the hunt for items many of us see as rubbish or tat, Maud will help create a range of artwork made from discarded everyday objects. Focusing on a different project every two weeks, the children’s masterpieces will be displayed in our Gallery space for friends and family to admire!
With Maud’s experience and creativity, going green has never been so fun!
After a short break for the summer holidays, Crafty Kids is back in September and they have a very special Crafty Kids Party to kick off the new season of workshops! So make sure you make it down to Poplar Union on Saturday 1 September for music, play and of course, lots of crafting!
Maud Barrett studied Product Design in Paris and spent the first years of her professional life working in fashion. When she moved over to the UK, she started practising as a textile artist, working on community projects, exhibiting in galleries and running a wide range of art workshops.
