Crafty Kids Party!
Eco-Weaving

Turn discarded materials and items into fun and funky treasures in these monthly Crafty Kids Parties! It’s arts and crafts, but not as you know it…
With guidance from local textile artist and tutor, Maud Barrett, the Crafty Kids will focus on a different project each month.
Eco Weaving
January will be all about the environment and how important it is to reuse items that lots of people call rubbish. It’s amazing what beautiful things you can make with materials we throw away everyday such as food packaging, plastic bottles and cardboard boxes.
Learn the art of weaving using up-cycled mini looms and plastic yarns and other recycled materials you’d find around the house.
With Maud’s experience and creativity, going green has never been so fun!
Teacher Profile
Maud Barrett studied Product Design in Paris and spent the first years of her professional life working in fashion. When she moved over to the UK, she started practising as a textile artist, working on community projects, exhibiting in galleries and running a wide range of art workshops.
