About Capoeira

Capoeira Angola is an Afro-Brazilian practice that combines combat, dance, music and theatrical expression in a dynamic, flowing interaction. Always played to the sound of percussive music and singing, Capoeira Angola is a game of strategy, trickery and elegance that develops self-expression, physical coordination and strength, mental and emotional discipline, respect and responsibility. Capoeira Angola is practiced globally by people of all genders, ages, ethnicities and abilities.

This introductory session will be followed by a talk and Q&A with capoeirista, Dafne Louzioti.
