Join us for these weekly capoeira classes facilitated by three teachers from different lineages/schools of capoeira and embrace this Brazilian martial art which combines music, dance, combat and acrobatic elements into a dynamic movement game.
What to expect
These group sessions include music, movement and play and provide an opportunity to learn capoeira from a number of perspectives in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. All abilities welcome.
From w/c 11th March, classes will be moving to Wednesday evenings, 7pm-9pm.
Dafne trains and teaches capoeira Angola under the guidance of Mestre Pezão (Dendê de Maré). She also works as a performance artist and teaches theatre and performance at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Emmanuel ‘Mac’ MacDonald
Mac is a London born Capoeirista who started training in 1998 and his love for the art form has not left him since. Training both in Brazil and Europe, he is a firm believer that Capoeira exists within us all, we just have to allow ourselves to find different ways to awaken it.
Chloë has been immersed in capoeira culture for 17 years. She has trained with masters from all three major styles of capoeira and has taught internationally since 2009.
