Bangladesh Udichi Shilpi Goshti UK Sangshad bring you their new play, An Absurd Story, in celebration of the Bangla Drama Festival.

What to expect

The setting is a town in Bangladesh, a strange thing happened at the execution of Mondol.  To be hanged till death for murdering his wife and to the amazement of all, the prison doctor finds Mondol still alive though now in a coma. This exceptional turn of events has created a conundrum amongst the prison staff. They cannot carry out a ”second” hanging without a court verdict. When Mondol wakes up he has no recollection of his crime or the execution.  Through a comedy of errors, the prison officers try to jog his memory and an accidental death is revealed.
