Afro grooves & jazzy harmonies are expected in this special evening of live music with Noga Ritter, and a set and one-off collaboration with Afro-Brazilian Samba-Reggae Bloco, Dendê Nation.

About Noga Ritter

Singing in Hebrew and English, Noga Ritter‘s music melds Afro grooves and jazz together with her new full band, bringing together a wealth of London’s finest musicians.

Noga has been both a collaborator within and leader of a wide range of projects featuring musical styles ranging from world music, jazz, folk to gospel and contemporary.

As well as Hebrew and English, Noga sings in Wolof, Arabic, Zulu and other languages. Her sincere and forceful lyrics depict a vast range of subjects and themes from personal experiences to political messages.

Dendê Nation

This evening will see an exclusive performance including a collaboration with Poplar Union favourite’s, Dendê Nation. Led by Mac Dendê, the percussion & dance troop will play the Afro-Brazilian percussion stylings of Bahia, fresh from spreading their Samba-Reggae beats through the streets of Hackney Carnival.

Expect heavy grooves, blasting brass and great vibes for you to dance to all night long!
